JLR are making engines that are not fit for purpose. The sale of goods act springs to mind here. They like how tough their 4x4s are but the engine is poor design and build quality. They are riding on the back of their old reputation. That day has long gone.

Take it to the dealer for the key,they charge you for doing very little work. £500 for probably 2 mins work.

Hi guys. Lovely machine you have there - pretty much top of the range in its day! One thing you basically MUST do is change the supercharger slip washers to metal ones. They were ceramic as standard and when they break (which they will) they go straight into the oil pump and destroy the engine!

I wouldn't touch a Range Rover with a barge pole. As soon as the engine wouldn't turn I knew it was head gasket. I'm surprised they said it sounded sweet turning over, because it sounded absolutely awful.

As ever great video, I was thinking throughout however you will have to replace the cover so was amazed when it cleaned up. As for its value. I haven’t a clue

I don't know exactly but if that bombardier engine is fitted with a water cooling rubber impeller it is probably in need of urgent replacement. The most common failure point on all marine engines. They go brittle with age lose all there vanes and disintegrate. Cause no end of seized motors.

Rob & Chris, the way you usually roll is fine. You turn a small profit margin which is offet by your quick turnarounds. To me that's win-win situation.
